I currently offer in-person individual counseling & therapy, and EMDR Therapy Intensives or Day Retreats, for adults ages 18-65. Therapy sessions are often held indoors at my office in the Ford Building (2505 SE 11th Avenue, Portland, OR), or may be outdoors in nearby nature settings in SE Portland, depending on preference and schedule parameters. The Ford Building is ADA accessible, has both gender-specific and gender-neutral bathroom options, is accessible by multiple modes of transportation,
and is a community oriented space.
I am nurturing a dream seed for Small Group Therapy Offerings for Survivors incorporating EMDR,
Art, Somatics & Ecotherapy, so stay tuned!

EMDR Therapy Individual Intensives and/or Day Retreats:
Please inquire about cost as intensives and day retreats are customized experiences, so cost varies. Sliding scale options are available for those in need. Please note: Insurance covers EMDR Therapy within the context of regular weekly or every-other week 55-minute therapy sessions, however insurance will notcover the cost of intensives or day retreats.‍ ‍
Cash-pay fees are due at the time of service, and expected to be paid in full within 24 hours. I do not accept prepayment for services. Failure to pay for services in a timely manner may result in additional fees, a pause in sessions until the full balance is paid, or in an ending of services.

*Fee agreements for participants paying cash/out-of-pocket will be detailed in a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) included in the intake paperwork. An updated Informed Consent and/or GFE will be provided if/when session fees change for any reason.

Therapy can be expensive and inaccessible to many communities. With this in mind, I offer a sliding scale fee schedule as my capacity allows, specifically prioritizing people who experience marginalization and systemic oppression. If you are in need of a reduced-fee, we can discuss this. If I am not able to accommodate your need at the time of your request, I will do my best to offer referrals to relevant resources, acknowledging that we are in a time of intentional manufactured resource scarcity.

Insurance

I am currently in-network with MODA Health. I will assist in verifying your insurance benefits and any relevant co-pays so that there are no surprise costs to you. My financial policies, current fee schedule and billing practices will be provided in the informed consent process before beginning therapy.

I am still a Medicaid provider with OHP Healthshare/Care Oregon through an independent contract with Aion Therapy, however I am not currently open for new therapy participants with OHP/Care Oregon at this time.

Fees & Payment for Participants w/OHP/Care Oregon Insurance through Aion Therapy:
Fees for services are set by Aion Therapy. Aion Therapy’s financial policies and current fee schedule and billing practices will be provided in the informed consent process. Initial consultations of 20-25 minutes are FREE.

Out of Network Insurance Option:
**If I am not in network with your insurance, I can provide you with superbills, which are statements that include diagnostic and session information and fees for services, that you would submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. It would be your responsibility to pay my cash-pay rate for services up front and seek reimbursement after. Insurance plans and benefits vary. I recommend checking in advance with your provider regarding out-of-network benefits.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

If you are unable to keep an appointment, a minimum 24-hour cancellation notice is required or you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $75. If you arrive late for a session, I can not guarantee the full session time and you may be responsible for paying the full fee regardless of lost time. Multiple missed sessions or chronic lateness that impedes therapy may result in a pause or end of services, depending on circumstances.

For therapy participants through Aion Therapy w/ Care Oregon insurance, I ask that you please provide 24 hr or more notice when possible, however, you will not be charged a late cancellation fee in the event of a short-notice cancellation.

I will take time away for personal restorative time, significant holy days, and for continuing education. I will inform you in advance of any extended vacations or time out of the office on my part and we can discuss arrangements for a support-plan through that time. If I have to cancel a session due to illness or due to an urgent personal matter, you will not be charged for your session and I will offer options for rescheduling.
